Today on the Morning X, I discussed yet another “National Day” of recognition, no, not for something sentimental and serious, but something certainly confusing and somewhat odd. Today, December 12th, is “National Ding-A-Ling-Day!” For all that is Holy and right in the world, what the hell is that, you say? Well, believe it or not, it’s a day for you to get back in touch with someone you haven’t talked to in a long time. So, this could be an old college room mate, High School friend, maybe even an old boyfriend or girlfriend. OK, scratch that. As you can imagine, “National Ding-A-Ling-Day’ implies an entirely different meaning. I’m sure most of you think it’s about playing with your “Dingy.” Well, you freak, it’s not! However, it does bring to mind the old song from Chuck Berry, “My Ding-A-Ling”, which was his only Number one song in 1972;. THAT, my friends, is ridiculous, considering the massive amount of amazing original Rock that guy produced. Well, anyway, enjoy “National Ding-A-Ling-Day!” Woot.
