Rockin Paws: Kitten Season At Sams Rescue

We’ve had puppies and now it’s time for kittens…after all it is kitten season! Let’s talk a little about ‘kitten season’, kitten season is the time of year when cats give birth, flooding animal shelters across the nation with homeless litters. Kitten season is really three seasons in one, starting in spring, peaking in late spring or early summer, and ending in fall. This all happens because there are so many strays that are not spayed and neutered, which is the easiest way to help reduce the overwhelming numbers of unwanted cats. Take a peak at this cat chart that shows you how easily and quickly the cat population can go without spay and neuter, this is also why you are encouraged to look into adoption when looking for a cat.

Today, for our rockin paws we have KITTENS! Tune in to our facebook live after 3:30pm to see these royal kittens- Harry, Meghan and Diana-in action. Or stop into SAMS-Stray Animal Midway Shelter, 328 S. Pinkerton Rd. Hanna City during adoption hours too.
