$125! That’s all I need to be able to run with my team this summer to help the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! Once again this year I’ve joined the Peoria Police team and the Chicago To Peoria run. The run will begin on July 31st and we’ll run relay style for 136 miles over the course of 36 hours all to raise money for the children fighting for their lives at St. Jude.
Last year I had an unbelievable year, I’m still not sure how it happened but I raised a personal record amount of over $7,600! All of the runs brought in record amounts of money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Throughout the spring and summer I’ll be sharing many stories of St. Jude, pictures; interviews and sharing how people right here in Peoria are surviving because of St. Jude!
One of the most important reasons why you should donate to St. Jude is because no family ever pays at St. Jude, not for treatment, transportation, and lodging, absolutely NOTHING. In fact families won’t even ever SEE a bill from St. Jude! Here’s what your donations dollars are doing:
-$100 could help provide a grocery gift card to a patient family living in one of our residential facilities.
-$150 could cover the cost of a complete blood count or another important diagnostic test for one of our patients.
-$250 allows St. Jude to fund three "No Mo' Chemo Parties"
-$500 means St. Jude can provide domestic airfare for a member of a patient’s family.
-$750 can provide two spinal taps for two St. Jude patients.
-$1000 St. Jude can provide one day of chemotherapy for a leukemia patient.
My two year cancer free birthday is next week and there is nothing I’d like more than to be able to reach my goal before then but I can ONLY do it with YOUR help, please donate now, no amount is too small and just think if I can get just FIVE people to donate at least $25 I’ll hit my goal. Let’s beat cancer together!
