A new Slipknot documentary will hit theaters for one night only on September 6th. The film called Day of the Gusano, which was directed by percussionist Shawn Crahan (Clown) and covers their first-ever trip to Mexico City in 2015 for Knotfest. Cities and theaters will be announced next month at DayOfTheGusano.com so be sure to bookmark the page and keep watching for hopefully a showing near us.
This may be your Slipknot fix for a while, frontman Corey Taylor reacently said in an interview that the band is “not really doing anything right now”, “Clown is directing some movies” and “Sid’s gonna do some stuff”, not really sure what “stuff” is tho. Plus, Taylor’s other band-Stone Sour- is currently touring and just released their new album, Hydrograd.
In the new clip just released the title is “Rehearsals” and focuses on what happens when the band comes together. There are currently NO Peoria theaters showing the documentry but you can view it in Bloomington and in Pekin. Go to the theater website for details here www.dayofthegusano.com/
