There are a lot of summer blockbusters set to hit theaters later this year. Occasionally you get a movie that surprises us all. This is that movie.
I Am Heath Ledger will depict the life of Heath Ledger who passed away in 2008. There will will be a lot of stories from friends, family and of course those that knew him well in the movie industry.
Ledger was an actor that I know we all respected. We will always wonder what Hollywood would look like if he were still alive. He did such an amazing job with all of his roles. His take on Joker in The Dark Knight, it will be some time before anyone is ever able to get close to playing the Joker as good as he did.
In I Am Heath Ledger, I will be interested to hear the stories about his early career and how his family continues to honor his legacy. In the trailer below, we find out that he was more interested in directing but used acting as a gateway. I really look forward to all of these stories.
This movie will premiere at Tirbeca Film Festival on April 23rd, followed by a limited release in theaters on May 3rd. Set your DVR’s though for May 17th as it will premiere on Spike that Day.
