The greatest form of compliment to any musician has to be when another band covers one of their songs. It is a great way for one artist to show another respect.
This is also a great way to see the same song through someone else’s eyes. I don’t think the intent is ever to make the song better, but as everyone thinks differently, we definitely get a new sound good or bad.
I have to say that what Fame On Fire and Rain Paris did to Linkin Park and Kiiara’s “Heavy” is well worth a listen.
When I heard this song, I was singing along not realizing why I was so familiar with the song already. It really caught me off guard. More so that there was already a cover and the song has only been out for a month.
Give the song a listen for yourself. I don’t think you will be upset with this decision.
