This morning I stopped by the Morning X to do some girl talk with Matt Bahan on words people don’t like, if ya missed it, sucks to be you but I’ll be back for more girly thoughts next Thursday. However, those of you who did hear it also herd me mention that for my big game party this weekend I am bringing “chocolate balls” otherwise known as Oreo Balls. We received many calls and PM’s on the recipe. So, that’s what I got for you today.
These can be made by virtually ANYONE! I’m a terrible baker, I can cook meals like a mo’fo buuuut when it comes to baking, I screw up boxed brownies. Yes, I know they only call for what and egg, water and baking, I still screw it up. Oreo Balls are super easy and for some reason not a lot of people know about them. I don’t bring them often to get together’s because once I make them, I’m constantly asked to bring/make them, like non-stop asked. But, I wanna be the rockstar treat-bringer this weekend so…Oreo Balls!
Best part, there are only THREE ingredients, my kinda recipe.
-One package of Oreo’s (you can do ANY flavor-I like regular and mint)
-One block of Cream Cheese (softend)
-Almond Bark
Directions…
Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together.
Roll into balls.
Chill for an hour.
Melt almond bark.
Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted almond bark.
Place on wax paper to harden.
Takes about 15 minute.
That’s it! But if ya wanna get fancy, which I don’t, you can them melt some chocolate almond bark and after the hardened step is complete you can drizzles the chocolate one the ball.
Enjoy your ballz and tell me if you are not the king/queen of your party this weekend with these yummy, chocolaty balls.
PS: If you’re wanting to feel less guilty about eating the, I have made them before with the reduced-fat Oreo’s and cream cheese you you can’t tell the difference at all, so do this and indulge.
