Metallica have been teasing their fans for quite some time about a new album this year. We were under the impression from the media reports circling about that the band was ‘close’ to having this new album done by this Summer. I even said that many times on the Morning X. Well, as with Metallica, we should have known better! The band, rightfully so, takes their own sweet time in releasing new music, and they tweak their songs until their happy with the finished product.
This weekend, Lars Ulrich, drummer for Metallica, told ‘Metal Forces’ magazine that the band is near “the end of the musical creative process”, for their tenth album. Lars also told fans last week that the band wasn’t quite done with the album and that a Summer release was unlikely. Either way, the band is close, and we will have new Metallica very soon! I guess we can deal with the delays, as we anticipate a kick ass new album from the boys from the Bay!
