The Sick Puppies have played many great shows for us here on the X over the years. From Nutcracker’s, to our ‘Summer Slam’ in 2010, to ‘Kewaneestock’ just a couple of Summer’s ago. The band was led by Shimon Moore, who started the band with Emma Anzai in Australia when they were teenagers. The band enjoyed many great albums and songs, just think ‘Odd One’, ‘You’re Going Down’, just to name a couple.
Fast forward to 2016. Shimon Moore has left the band. Their last album in 2014 struggled to garner any major radio songs, and many thought this may be the end for the band. However, with every challenge, there are new opportunities and an chance to come back. The band is ready to launch their new album, and have a new single released this past week to us here in Peoria, titled “Stick To Your Guns.” The band has added singer songwriter Bryan Scott to the band, and his impact is already felt. The band is starting anew, and they are re-focused and raring to go. They have a date in Bloomington at the Castle Theater coming up in May, and we have some fun lined up with the band as well, stay tuned for more! Welcome back, Pups!
