After Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington departed last fall from the Stone Temple Pilots the questions was “Would Scott Weiland return to the band?” Sadly as we all know by now that Weiland passed away in December and STP will need a brand new front man.
The time has now arrived and the search for a new lead singer has begun for the band. They posted on their website that “We’ve already heard from many talented people, but want to make this an opportunity for many more, so we’ve set up a way for you to do just that. If you think you have what it takes to front this band, record with this band, and tour with this band, we would dig hearing from you.”
So can you sing? Do you think you could fill the shoes of Scott and/or Chester? Then submit your work on their website now and it could happen.
The band did finish with the post, “No one will ever ‘replace’ Scott, that was never the intent. The intent is for Stone Temple Pilots to continue on, to evolve, and to do what we do — make music!”
