Longtime Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook is leaving the band. Say what? Announced yesterday officially, the band made the announcement with an official press release. Hook had gallbladder surgery early in the year, and had some complications along the way with recovery.  Jason Hook released the following statement: “I have had the pleasure of meeting so many of you in person. Thank you for the endless stories of how our music has touched your heart in some way!” He went on to say, “As for the reason I’m leaving…well, there isn’t just one. I’ve been in bands my entire life and I feel like I’ve done all the good that I can here. It’s time to pass the baton and move on to new challenges.” Jason has always been very positive and really down to earth in all our meet and greets and interviews over the years. We wish him the best from the X in Peoria! Five Finger is carrying onward, they have just released their Greatest Hits compilation, “Decade Of Destruction, Volume 2”, and guitarist Andy James is now in the band. We will keep you updated on all things Five Finger Death Punch, here on the X!
