Leave it to Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day to record new music, while hunkered down at home as he “Shelter’s In Place” in quarantine. Billie Joe apparently loves 1960’s Rockers, Tommy James And The Shondell’s, because he has teed up his own version of their song, “I Think We’re Alone Now”,  and released it this week. He sounds fantastic, and yes, it sounds like vintage Green Day. Billie Joe had the following to say about recording the song. “Dear Friends, While we’ve all been in quarantine, I’ve been reflecting on the things that matter the most in my life. Family, friends and, of course, music. I recorded a cover of Tommy James and the Shondell’s “I Think We’re Alone Now” in my bedroom.”

Billie Joe’s cover is catchy as hell, and delivers with his usual swagger and attitude. Hey, let’s all Rock at home, as we shelter in place! Wash your hands, and be safe!
