Ozzy Osbourne has wowed the Rock world in the last week, dropping a new single, “Under The Graveyard”, and will be releasing a new album in January, titled “Ordinary Man.” The story of just how Ozzy got motivated to jump back in the studio is already growing in legend. As you may be aware, Ozzy was invited by producer Andrew Watt to join Pop superstar Post Malone in the studio earlier this year. The result was Post Malone and Ozzy collaborating on a really solid song, “Take What You Want.” From there, Ozzy, who was still recuperating from neck surgery and other health ailments, got motivated.

Producer Andrew Watt got Ozzy committed to recording a set of new songs. Ozzy had an arsenal of songs ready to go, and from there, Andrew Watt invited some serious heavy players to join in on the sessions. Enter stage right for Guns N’ Roses bass player, Duff McKagen, and Red Hot Chili Pepper kit master Chad Smith, both of whom said yes to play on the new songs. Andrew Watt is on guitar and other instruments, and the rest is history. The first single, which you can hear right here on the X, is titled “Under The Graveyard”, and it might be the best new song from Ozzy in decades. Great chorus, his vocal delivery is stout, and the band, well, they sound phenomenal! The new album is set for a January release, and Ozzy is also re-announcing his UK leg of the “No More Tours 2” trek as well this week. Needless to say, it’s GREAT to have Ozzy back, motivated, getting healthy, and with so much positive reinforcement along the way! Someone get the man a bat to chew on! Welcome back, Dude!
