Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder not only opened for and performed with The Who last Saturday in London, he also helped behind the scenes.

Who keyboard tech Brian Kehew writes in his Backstage Blog, “After finishing the Quadrophenia appearance, Eddie V remained on the side stage, watching like a kid and filming as much as possible. I decided to give him a thrill and when the time came, let him place his finger on this certain button and PUSH: Out came the backing track for ‘Baba O’Riley,’.

Eddie, who as stated previously, opening for The Who and joined them for “The Punk and the Godfather.”, see the video below, during his introduction Roger Daltrey said, “He’s going to share this song with me because he knows where it came from.” Daltrey then asked, “What one were you? You were also the one with the stutter?” and Vedder said, “No, I’m still the punk.”

The Who resume their Moving On!tour on September 1st at Madison Square Garden in New York.
