Flea is one of my favorite Rockers in history. The dude is amazing, Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer, world class bass player, trumpet player, marathon runner, an advocate of music staying in schools, and, oh’ by the way, the leader of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. His outrageous personality and attitude is always fun to watch. This past weekend, Flea made headlines as he spent time with Koko, the gorilla. What? Yep, Flea visited the infamous Koko the Gorilla at the Gorilla Foundation. Flea let Koko play his bass guitar, and the video of this is charming and downright awesome.
Flea visited the ‘Gorilla Foundation’ in Woodside California this past weekend, and he was taken aback by Koko, and exclaimed, “This is just the greatest thing that could ever happen”, he exclaimed to Rolling Stone magazine. “This is the day that I will never forget in my life.” Koko was given a bass lesson, and he plucked the bass strings, and seemed completely enamored with the entire experience. Flea was laying on a couch watching Koko, and was obviously amazed with the entire experience. Flea encouraged fans to help the Gorilla Foundation on his Instagram account after he wrapped up his fun with Koko. Enjoy the video!
