You can say that Blink 182 is back, just like it’s 1999! The band, now with a new member, Matt Skiba, from Alkaline Trio, has scored their second number one album on the Billboard album chart, with the release of ‘California’ this past week. The last number one album from Blink was fifteen years ago, with their album, ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket.’ Using the preliminary sales figures, the newly released ‘California’ is set to sell north of 175,000 copies.
With Matt Skiba in the band, and their newly energized sound, the band looks poised for dominance with this album. The first single is off to a great start as well, the song “Bored To Death” is a flashback to the early sound of Blink from the late 1990’s. Cheers, boys, congrats on the Number one album!
