E3 2016 is here that means a whole lot of big and exciting titles for the upcoming year. New games, new technology, and a whole lot of hype for five straight days. Part of everyone’s favorite thing about E3 is the keynote presentations from each of the major companies. It’s a chance to look at what games will be coming out for that platform as well as a look into what new platforms a company may be developing.
First keynote we’ll talk about this week will be Sony and their incredible line-up for the PS4. The show opened up with an amazing orchestra performance that lead into their first game play trailer God of War. The trailer featured Kratos, who has aged well since the last God of War title, taking his son Charlie on his first hunt. The game play was an incredible start to the keynote and got fans and spectators very enthusiastic for the rest of the show. Following up after that, new titles such as Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Detroit were presented, giving a range of game types from surviving a post apocalyptic future to a suspenseful detective mystery.
After about half way through the presentation, it was time to shift gears. The Sony VR headset was announced for October 13th and will be priced starting at $399. We also saw a bunch of titles released along with this such as Resident Evil 7, Farpoint, Starwars Battlefront X-Wing Mission, Batman Arkham VR, and Final Fantasy XV VR. About 50 titles are currently in development and will be available with the release of the Sony VR headset as well as more titles to come over the year.
After that we say a few more big names to finish off the keynote including the new Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered, Skylanders Imaginators, Lego Starwars Episode 7, Spiderman, and Death Standing, which showed a naked Norman Reedus. In all, this keynote was a huge success and Sony fans are more excited than ever for the upcoming year.
We will keep you guys informed with each companies keynote and let you know what games to be the most excited for.
