Metallica’s James Hetfield performed an acoustic three-song set over the weekend at Pediatric Cancer benefit in San Francisco.
He did two of his own songs, “Motorbreath” off of Metallica’s 1983 album, Kill ‘Em All, an album that was recently remastered and reissued along with Ride The Lighting. He also performed “The Unforgiven,” and a cover of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You.”
The show, was a benefit for the Pediatric Cancer Program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, and also featured performances by Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Melissa Etheridge, John Mayer, Pat Monahan from Train, Vic Johnson and Kris Kristofferson.
