So, it seems like it’s been a decade since Metallica dropped their last studio album, and, well, you would be close to that theory, as the band’s last album, ‘Death Magnetic’, was released in 2008. If you recall, Metallica played Peoria in 2005, and they played Moline in 2009. The good news? Metallica are apparently ‘almost done’ with their new album, according to Lars Ulrich with a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine.
“The record is is well on it’s way”, says Lars with Rolling Stone. “It may come out any century now, actually. There’s a saying: where’s there’s life, there’s hope.” Lars continued. “I’d say it’s almost done”, and admitted, “We’re doing the Record Store Day next week and all of that stuff. There’s lots of stuff going on all the time, but the record is almost done.” They have also announced a massive show at the new Vikings stadium in Minneapolis with Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat in August. They are busy guys, but the world of Rock needs our Metallica, and it’s going to be nice to have them back in the fold with new music in 2016! Rock!
