A lot of things have changed since we have last seen Bradley Basketball. The University has ushered in a new Athletic Director, fired coach Geno Ford and replaced him with Brian Wardle, and most of the team itself are newcomers. Now, on Friday, it is finally time to see if this shakeup will lead to new results.
So far, the new formula has worked for the Braves as they have cruised through the preseason, albeit against Division II & III opponents. However, it is a good sign that they beat both of these teams by at least 19 points, given the fact that they lost to a Division III school last preseason.
Senior Ka’Darryl Bell and sophomore Donte Thomas are the only two players returning from last year’s mess of a team. They will lead a squad that features 10 freshman and are one of the youngest in the nation. On Friday, they will welcome back former Brave favorite Nate Wells, who transferred to Ball State after last season. Catch the new-look Braves take on Wells and the Cardinals at 7 pm at Carver Arena.
