The Smashing Pumpkins are back with a new album, and a new lineup of players. Billy Corgan, of course, is the main stay in this former Chicago based band. Whether you love the Pumpkins still, or have serious frustrations with the band due to all of the lineup shifting and changing, one thing is for sure, they will rock the Allstate Arena in Chicago on Friday night, October 19th. Corgan is actually in good form. His voice and signature guitar playing are stout on this new album. The Pumpkins are one of the biggest bands of the last twenty years. Their influential alternative albums of the early to mid 1990's sold in the millions. They had multiple hits, from "Today", "Disarm", "Rocket", to "Butterfly With Broken Wings", "Zero", "Tonight Tonight", the list is impressive and long.
