It's been a while since I've talked about my running and racing but honestly there isn't much to talk about that hasn't already been said. I've never run the St. Louis race so it will be a first but it's not my first in the Rock N Roll series, I ran Vegas last December.

There were two reasons for choosing this race #1 was because I wanted to be a Rock N Roll Heavy Medaler, meaning if I run more than one of their races in a calendar year (I was already registered for San Antonio), I receive a special medal. Normally, this weekend I run a race in Mankato Minnesota, it was where I ran my very first half exactly two years ago. So why not go back to Minnesota? That leads to my second reason for St. Lou! The St. Louis Blues were supposed to be playing their first Saturday night home game against the Minnesota Wild, being a huge Blues fan that was the deal sealer, half marathon and Blues game, sign me up! And now the player strike is happening so I'm quite disappointed there is no hockey, meaning no game! Good thing I love St. Louis!

I need your help with my playlist to get me to a PR! My current PR was set at my last half done in Springfield on April 7th of 1:57:36. This time I am looking to break the 1:55 mark, which shouldn't be too hard...I hope, St. Louis is another hilly course like Springfield was. So what do you think should be on the ipod? I'll tell ya what, if I pick your song I'll give ya something in return. I don't know what yet, free CD, haunted house passes or maybe even the rock star request of the day.
