Yep, leave it to the creative minds of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to produce a new, creepy, haunting song for the Sandra Bullock Netflix movie, “Bird Box.” The song in question is the 13 minute “Outside”, which appears on the soundtrack to the Netflix-horror drama. The song is classic Reznor-Ross, with an eerie piano theme running throughout the ambient recording, with odd sound effects, and plenty of distorted noise to complete the song. When placed inside the movie, it fits hauntingly well. For Reznor, he tweeted to fans over the Holidays his appreciation for supporting his efforts in 2018, which included bringing Nine Inch Nails out of hibernation and releasing a new album.

“Between the Nine Inch Nails record and tour it felt pretty great from my perspective”, said Reznor, via Twitter. “Nothing is taken for granted and I appreciate you coming along for the ride.” Nine Inch Nails toured and released their ninth album, “Bad Witch” in June. Hopefully, Trent continues his creativity with more releases in 2019! Happy Netflix watching!
