Bahan Nominates Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, INXS And Duran Duran For The Morning X “Rock Hall Of Fame”

Bahan here on the Morning X, every year, it seems, the list of nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame always receives massive amounts of criticism for one reason or another. This year’s nominees are pretty stout-Rage, Def Leppard, The Cure, Stevie Nicks. However, there are some glaring missing artists who had mass impact and influence on the world of Rock. While I understand that the Rock Hall and that big umbrella encompasses all forms of “Rock”, I do think that two genre’s are getting the snub. One is the Metal category, the other is the New Wave-Punk Category.

To me, it’s insanely idiotic that Judas Priest is not in the Hall Of Fame. They, along with Black Sabbath, were TWO of the most inspiring Metal acts in history. Huge albums, sold out tours, big songs. Amazing singer. Iron Maiden is in the same category. Huge albums, sold out tours, big songs, amazing singer. As for my ‘New Wave’ bands that influenced Rock-I loved the music of INXS. A blend of Rock, Soul, R&B, Punk, New Wave, and at one point, a world trekking sold out stadium band. Michael Hutchence might be one of the greatest front men of all time. How are they not in? Duran Duran had HUGE songs and videos in the 1980’s. They sold millions. They dominated every teenage girl’s bedroom with posters. Sold out tours, big songs, big influence on today’s Alternative sound. SO….I’ve nominated these bands, they all go in my Morning X Hall Of Fame! Who gets your vote?
